Common Name: Also known as Cinnamomum verum and Laurus cinnamomum. Also called true cinnamon, Ceylon or Madagascar.
Usage: The tree is native to India Sri Lanka and India and is used in temple incense. Calms digestive spasms colitis, flatulance, nausea and diarrhea. Fights colds and flu as well as aids digestion. Cinnamon oil is emotionally stimulating. Can be diffused to fight exhaustion, depression and weakness. When it is diffused into the air there is a reduction in slugglishness, drowsiness, and irritability.
Precautions:A very powerful oil so avoid during pregnancy. The oil is a skin and mucous membrane irritant.
