Common Name: Also known as Clary, Clary Wort or Muscatel Sage

Usage: Recommended for treatment of a wide range of female problems (slightly increases the effects of estrogen) as well as treating depression and extreme tension (both emotional and physical.) The fragrance alone can help reduce blood pressure. Also great for the treatment of skin related conditions such as Acne, Boils, Psoriasis, and dermatitis due to its clarifying properties and cooling sensation. Helps to balance greasy skin and hair.

Try adding a few drops to a carrier oil and massage to relieve tense muscles. You could also add a few drops to hot bath water to relax after a long day. Can be used to treat digestive disorders too. Clary Sage has great calming and sedating abilities. Use in a diffuser to calm things down if everyone is too stressed out.

Precautions: Avoid during pregnancy. May exaggerate the affects of alcohol because it is a potent tension reliever and muscle relaxer. May cause a headache due to large doses. Beware of gross overuse as this can cause the opposite such as increase in blood pressure, restlessness and nightmares.
