Common Name:  Jasmine is a vine that produces small flowers with a lovely fragrance. The flowers are labor intensive to harvest and tons are needed to get a small amount of oil. The scent is solvent extracted and made into an absolute. There are a lot of synthetic Jasmine oils on the market so beware when you make a purchase.


Usage:  Frequently used in perfumes and toiletries. The scent has a calming sedative effect so it is goof for relieving stress. The oil may be used for massage to ease cramped muscles and aid relaxation.  When the oil is diffused it stimulates brain waves and sharpens mental acuity.  The scent of Jasmine is most known for its seductiveness and used for an aphrodisiac.
